Plans for assignment 3

Well I began to write what my ideas are for the next assignment in my last blog entry, and now I'm a little torn as to what I should do. Yesterday, we all talked in English class about the things we each might do for this assignment and we were giving each other feedback on our ideas. I asked whether I should stick with the issue of advertising Cranwell's services if international students need a place to go but the class suggested I go a different route and address a problem the Cranwell Center has with integrating the international students with the american students. Having more events that teach americans at tech about the diversity tech has in its students. I mean, to a certain extent, Cranwell does have events that do that, but they they could have more of them and publicize them more.

So after this feedback, I'm still thinking of keeping my story because I think it's perfect in achieving the purpose of "seeing life at tech through an international student's eyes," but then at the end of it, instead of attaching a flyer that advertises the center's services, I could have a flyer that would advertise an event that Cranwell could host that would potentially bring all the students from different backgrounds together.

That's a good idea. I think that would work well. :)

That would be really interesting. It would be a particular challenge to create a flyer that would appeal to so many different kinds of people... or maybe you would create a few to be put in different places (one for international students, one for non-international students, etc.)

You might also check out MOSAIC on campus; there might be a connection between them and Cranwell for this. That is kind of what they are trying to do.
